GLIMPSE

SYNOPSIS: GLIMPSE (2022) is an experimental short film exploring themes of flattening in the workforce.

MY WORK: Leah served as Lead Production Designer as well as Co-Costume Designer for Otiose. She was also responsible for the media glitch effects of the CRT television using a video synthesizer.

THE KETTLE OVERFLOWS PAST MIDNIGHT

SYNOPSIS: A series of vignettes showing a young couple struggling to navigate through their relationship as they try to figure out how to love one another.

MY WORK: Leah worked as lead production designer, and assistant camera. She also authored the inter-titles placed within the film.

KETTLE was selected and shown under the Narrative section at the first annual Triton Television Film Fest. KETTLE was also the winner of runner-up at the 12th annual Adam D. Kamil Media Awards.

FALLING ONCE, FALLING EVERY TIME

SYNOPSIS: Falling Once, Falling Every Time explores a relationship strained by substance abuse and the stress of disappointing someone you love. We fall down, we learn to get back up.

MY WORK: Leah worked as Key Grip and Gaffer for FOFET.

FOFET was the Narrative Films winner at the first annual Triton Television Film Festival.

MAY

SYNOPSIS: A series of phone calls between myself and my immediate family, in which I discuss some personal topics and explore the dynamic I have with my estranged father.

MY WORK: Leah worked as Assistant Camera and Production Coordinator for MAY.

MANGO CHERRY - EPISODE ONE

SYNOPSIS: MANGO CHERRY (dir. Jaiden McCrann) is a “coming-of-age web series that follows the lives of two Gen Z Asian-American sisters and the trials and tribulations that follow. Throughout the series, Jaiden further explores and portrays her own authenticity of Gen Z AAPI women through Gen Z wit and her well-versed understanding of the AAPI experience and presence on social media.”

MY WORK: During the pilot episode, Leah worked as lead production designer and first assistant camera.

MANGO CHERRY - SOUR GRAPES

SYNOPSIS: MANGO CHERRY (dir. Jaiden McCrann) is a “coming-of-age web series that follows the lives of two Gen Z Asian-American sisters and the trials and tribulations that follow. Throughout the series, Jaiden further explores and portrays her own authenticity of Gen Z AAPI women through Gen Z wit and her well-versed understanding of the AAPI experience and presence on social media.”

MY WORK: During SOUR GRAPES, Leah worked as lead production designer, assistant grip, and assistant sound mixer.

MY WORK: During CHERRY PART ONE, Leah worked as 3rd assistant director, and assistant director of photography.

SUPER 8 X FASHION QUARTERLY

SYNOPSIS: SUPER 8 X FASHION QUARTERLY was an ad campaign shot for Fashion Quarterly during Winter of 2020. According to Grace Garber, director of this project, “I decided to use super 8 for this shoot to demonstrate the intersection of old technology and new makeup styles.” \

MY WORK: Leah was both a model in the project as well as assistant cinematographer.
